1. The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced vacancies for School Teacher Posts in Bihar.
2. The recruitment notification is available on the official website of BPSC.
3. The online application process for Bihar School Teacher Recruitment 2023 started on June 15, 2023.
4. A total of 170,461 vacancies have been announced for TGT, PGT, and Primary Posts.
5. The vacancies are distributed as follows:
   • Primary Teacher (Class 1-5): 79,943 posts
   • TGT Teacher (Class 9-10): 32,916 posts
   • PGT Teacher (Class 11-12): 57,602 posts
6. The pay scale for the positions will be as per the rules.
7. Educational Qualifications:
   • For Primary Teacher (Class 1-5):
     • Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks and B.Ed Degree
     • Bachelor’s Degree in any stream with Diploma in Elementary Education
     • 10+2 (Inter) with 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education/Special Diploma
     • 10+2 (Inter) with 45% marks (as per 2002 norms) and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
     • 10+2 (Inter) with 50% marks and 4-year BLEd Degree
     • Master’s Degree with 55% marks and B.Ed-Med 3-year Degree with CTET Paper I or BTET Paper I qualification
   • For TGT Teacher (Class 9-10):
     • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in a related subject with a minimum of 50% marks and B.Ed Degree
     • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in a related subject with a minimum of 45% marks (as per 2002 norms) and B.Ed Degree
   • For PGT Teacher (Class 11-12):
     • Master’s Degree in a related subject with a minimum of 50% marks and B.Ed Degree
     • Master’s Degree in a related subject with a minimum of 45% marks (as per 2002 norms) and B.Ed Degree
     • Master’s Degree in a related subject with a 4-year degree in BAEd/BScEd
     • Master’s Degree with 55% marks and B.Ed-Med 3-year Degree with STET Paper II qualification
